Over the course of the last couple years, we’ve seen the success behind Amazon’s Prime Day, a Amazon-generated sales holiday. This week, Amazon has decided to lauch a new sales day on digital media that they’re calling “Digital Day.”
The first ever Digital Day begins today, December 30th, and is a 24 hour event that is marketed like a Black Friday for anything digital. These offerings include games, books, TV shows, apps, music and more. Some of the marketed deals include:
- 80% off of video games
- 50% off of movies & TV
- 75% off of digital comics
Can Amazon capitalize on another “fabricated” sales day like they did with Prime Day? We’ll have to see how things go!

If this works out for Amazon like Prime Day did, this could be another blockbuster sales holiday for Amazon, something that would be well need for Amazon. Their last earnings call saw a bit of a drop due to a “step up in investment” of their digital platform and fulfillment.
