It was confirmed by Google that they are now rolling out two new local search features:
- highlight icons in the local search listings
- price labels in the hotel search results
For local highlight icons, icons are shown in a local panel, and it represents what amenities the local business has. The items could include something such as fast service, small plates, healthy options, and the like. These icons first started being tested by Google last month, and now, they’re being rolled out to all searchers.
Google is also launching price labels directly in the hotel results. This way, you’ll be able to quickly see on the map the price of hotels in that area.
Sergey Alakov was able to spot these early. When I tried out these features at the time of writing, I was unable to replicate the results.
