Get A Script For Getting Granular AdWords Account Anomaly Alerts

Google-adwords-redwhite-1920Any well-versed AdWords user could tell you, there are plenty of custom AdWords scripts that you can implement into your campaigns to make them work better, or to make things easier for you.  There are scripts that enable hourly dayparting, and even ones that update bids based on the weather.

In this post, you’ll find a really cool Anomaly Detector script that has been upgraded with some extra capabilities by the company, Optmyzr, such as aggregating the data into a single spreadsheet.

One of the pieces of feedback that was received by Optimyzr was that it doesn’t identify what part of an account is responsible for the anomaly.  It would be nice to know not only when an account isn’t performing at the level you’re expecting, but it would be nice to know if there were any particular outliers that are causing the change in performance.

Another shortcoming is that it analyzes account-level data.  If some part of the account does better than another part of the account, they may cancel each other out and the account could look as if it’s doing fine.

Below is the script if you’d like to try it out on your own accounts and campaigns.  If you follow this link, you can check out an article that was written by Frederick Vallaeys of Optmyzrs that goes into a little more detail on the script presented here.
