Google My Business Insights Gets Updates Analytics While Dropping Google+ Source Data

Google has made an announced that they’re updating the Google My Business Insights feature, where business owners can view analytics around how people find and interact with their Google local listings.

Google-logoSo what are the new features?  They include a breakdown of how many people are seeing your listings from Google Search vs Google Maps. The following screen shows how the Insights section plots the data:

Google will even show how users found your listing, such as through a direct link or search, which is being called “discovery.”  With direct, a customer has found your listing searching for your business name or address.  Discovery is when a user locates your listing by searching for a category, product or service.

Google says that, with this upgrade, they are “removing Google+ statistics from the dashboard.”
