Google Tests Displaying Review Snippets In The Local 3-Pack

Thrive Business Marketing company logo

Google-thumbThere is a new test that Google is doing for their local 3-pack where they add an additional line of text on some of the packs that are seen in the web search results.  When shwoing local results in the main search results, Google will often display 3-pack.  There are times when Google will show review stars, but now, Google is testing pulling out a quote from one of the reviews to show in the local pack snippet.

This test was spotted by Peter Meyers from Moz, and posted a screen shot of it on Twitter.  Here’s a picture from Peter Meyers, which he calls “mini-reviews in local pack.”

It seems that the reviews are being pulled randomly at this point in Google’s test.  Apparently, just because somebody has left a lot of reviews submissions or is considered a local guide, doesn’t mean Google will pick a review from them.
