Google has decided to get the ball rolling on their April Fool’s festivities early by getting it started as of yesterday, March 31st with today’s release of PAC-Maps. This special Google Maps feature allows users to play Pack-Man via various Google Maps locations.
If you’d like to play, open a Google Maps location and click on the Pac-Man option in the bottom left of the screen.
Michelle Juo, the Google Maps product manager writes, “When navigating fruit-filled streets, determine at a glance which turns to pass to evade ghosts and get where you’re going safely.” According to Michelle, this is only the beginning, as there are more possible April Fools’ features, such as zombie incident alerts and intergalactic street views.
The announcement states that users can play Pac-Maps on either the desktop or mobile devices.
