RandDespite the fact that blogging has been considered to be dead by the likes of Matt Cutts, that does not meant you can’t continue to do it, nor does it mean it won’t work, assuming you’re doing it for the right reasons.  Keep in mind that although Matt and Google have said that blogging is dead, that doesn’t mean it’s 100% pointless to do anymore and we should just give up doing it.

The problem with the “blogging is dead” issue centers around the idea that you’re only doing it for the links.  This means that you can still blog, so long as you’re not purposely trying to get links to your site, just because you think blogging a quick and easy way to do accomplish that.  You should blog to give great content to your visitors because they deserve it, not because you want the links.

So, with that idea in mind, how could you possibly improve your blog readership?  What sort of things could you do to get more traffic coming in to see what you have to say?  Rand Fishkin has created another episode of Whiteboard Friday were he focuses on tactics that you could use to improve your blog readership.
