11 Reasons Link Building Is A Futile Waste Of Time — And One Big Reason It Isn’t

Others believe that link building has gone the way of the Dodo.  Take Eric Ward as an example.  In a recent post on Search Engine Land, he also claims, among many other people as well, that link building is dead.  Eric says that the final nail that seals the deal was made by Matt Cutts when he said that guest blogging was pretty much over.

Eric stated that, in the end, we should stop all of our linking and publicity related activities.  Instead of taking up your time to do these things, worry only about what you are doing now.  “Be awesome” is all he has to say.
