As hard as it is to believe, it’s been 20 years since Yahoo made it’s way onto our computers screens. Now that they are celebrating 20 years of search, Yahoo decided to celebrate it by setting a new world record for yodeling.
Over 3,400 people were gathered together by the company to set the Guinness World Record for the largest simultaneous yodel.
CEO Marissa Mayer’s posted the following picture on her Tumblr blog, with the caption: “We shattered the record by a factor of 2 (previously 1700 people), but they made us yodel for a minute straight!”
Because of this occasion, co-founder David Filo sent his gratitude to users via Yahoo’s official Tumblr blog.
“We’re in a different place than we were 20 years ago, but the best opportunities lie ahead. We want to continue building products that you love and that might make your lives better.”
Finally, Yahoo put together a collection of the “20 Biggest Moments” across its news, finance and digital magazine channels. They even changed their logo to reflect the occasion.
