SEO professionals are generally expected to have a solid understanding of our trade and to be able to communicate their knowledge clearly and professionally with their clients.  But wouldn’t it be great if our expectations were set even higher?  This would go a long way in further improving an already amazing industry, helping us to build even more trust while better serving clients.

Don’t intentionally put your clients at risk!

Marketing requires us to always evaluate risk versus reward.  This is very true when it comes to search engine optimization since algorithms are always changing.  There are some tactics that would have been acceptable just years ago, but would now get a website penalized.

But it goes beyond algorithms changing.
