Adobe is adding more responsibilities to Sensei’s job description.  This week the company announced a variety of new content-oriented integrations and enhancements in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) that are powered by the artificial intelligence layer.

Smart Tag, which automatically adds metadata keywords to mages based not only on system-recognized logos, as well as on visual patterns that the system has been trained to notice.

Haresh Kumar, the Strategy and Product Marketing Director of Adobe said that this could include, for instance, the kinds of direct patterns that are associated with fashion brands Louis Vuitton, Burberry or Prada.  It could even be different kinds of product models like cars, or for Adidas, different sorts of cleats.

“Most auto-tagging,” he pointed out, “doesn’t recognize different kinds of cleats.”
