AmazonAmazon, who is making their first ever appearance as a Super Bowl advertiser this year, is using its game day spot to promote the Echo device.  For their ad, Amazon has enlisted the talent of Alec Baldwin to be its pitchman.  The company has even given over the official campaign hastag, #BaldwinBowl, to the actor.

Not only is Amazon releasing a 30 second teaser ad that also includes NFL veteran Dan Marino, the company hasn’t given out very many details surrounding the campaign.

Here’s a statement from a rep from Amazon’s VP of advertising, device sales and marketing, Neil Lindsay,

“Echo has had an amazing reception from customers over the past year — they love it. We thought the Super Bowl was a great chance to tell even more people about what Echo and Alexa can do, and have some fun while doing it.”

There was an interview that Lindsay had with Marketing Land, and he expressed his excitement about Alexa’s capabilities.

“Asking Alexa for the weather is magical… I’m excited by the future and how technology really can make our lives easier and better, and it’s a lot of fun being somewhere where looking for magical experiences is part of the job.”
