On June 22, Apple announced their major redesign for Siri since its launch in 2011. With this new version of Siri, it won’t take up the whole screen, but rather a logo at the bottom of the screen. This will launch in iOS 14.
The following image that was shown during the Apple WWDC virtual event and shows the new interface for Siri when it’s activated.
Translate App
Apple also announced a new Translate app, which is similar to Google Translate, will launch supporting 11 languages including:
- English
- Mandarin Chinese
- French
- German
- Spanish
- Italian
- Japanese
- Korean
- Arabic
- Portuguese
- Russian.
According to the company, the app will work offline, and the conversations are private.
With the Conversation mode, you will turn your phone over to landscape orientation, and that’s when your phone moves into conversation mode. Here, you will see a side by side conversation with the person you’re talking to in different conversations. Conversation mode auto detects the language.
