You have to love it when something happens to Google.  Everybody gets up in arms about it when they notice something different happening that they weren’t expecting.  But there’s one thing that they weren’t expecting, according to the hundreds of comments left on a Google Search Help Forum thread the other week,  People began noticing a glitch that caused an older version of Google’s search page to appear in some browsers.

That must be a real wonky glitch.  But in reality, it wasn’t a glitch at all, according to a Google employee.

Thanks for the reports. I want to assure you this isn’t a bug, it’s working as intended” was what was said by the employee last Friday.

The employee said that Google will only be able to provide a limited amount of support for those browsers not completely updated to their current version.  She advised that everybody upgrade their browsers via Google’s WhatBrowser.org.
