Although the virtual reality industry has had billions of dollars put into it, it still isn’t mainstream. But this may not be the case with Augmented reality (AR).
Over the last several years, AR features have appeared in a number of different brands and retail apps, including L’Oreal, Wayfair, Crate & Barrel, Gucci, Ikea, Lowes, H&M, Macy’s, Adidas, Amazon and many others. We’ve been introduced to AR through the likes of Snap filters and Pokemon Go.
Most of these apps and brands have only experimented with these features.
