For those who use Bing Ads, you will be interested to know that there is an update to Bing Ads Keyword Planner that has been released that boasts four new features:
- More competitive insights and benchmarking
- Customizable ad group and keyword bids
- A new source for keyword suggestions
- Time range customization up to 24 months for keyword search volume
Along with these new features, you can add your landing page URL in the tool, and the Keyword Planner will generate suggested keyword based on the content found on the web page.
Also, something that could be quite useful and welcome, the tool allows you to look back as far s 24 months, instead of the original 12 months. This helps provide users with a better view of seasonal trends and keywords that are particularly hot during certain times of the year.
When it comes to new competitor impression share insights, there are some new features there as well:
Compare to Competitor Domains Insights – This feature allows you to see your accounts relative ad impression share for keywords suggested in the planner and share your impression share to competitor domains. By utilizing this feature, you can find opportunities to add high-volume keywords when your impression share is comparatively low. The Compare to Competitor Domain Insights feature lets you analyze:
- Average monthly search volume
- Competitive benchmarks (high, medium, low)
- Suggested bid
- Your impression share
The Compare to Market Leader Domains allows users to see a side-by-side comparison of your average ad impression share against the average share of the top five market leaders for a set of suggested keywords.
And at last, users are now able to change the bids at the keyword and ad group levels, allowing them to see how traffic estimates change based
on higher or lower Max CPCs. Would you like to adjust all of your bids by the same percentage? If so, you can click on that percentage right in the weekly estimates graph.
For those who would like to take advantage of these new features, currently, you have to be a resident of the US. After signing in, you can find Keyword Planner under the Tools tab in your account.
