Have you ever spoken to an SEO, and as you got to know them, you found that they were pretty dang smart. They knew really knew their stuff, and they could prove it too. But just when you expected them to be perfect, you read some of the reports they’ve written and came to a startling realization. They couldn’t write worth beans. If you had read any of the things they’d written before meeting, you wouldn’t have guessed they were as smart as they claimed to be.
It can really drive a person bonkers when people waste what they have to say on poor deliver. This can include anything really especially in this day and age of a connected people via the internet. Because we’re dealing in an age of email and social media, it’s more important that you know how to write well. We have to be able to communicate in a way that’s both professional and intelligent.
But in the case of the post, we are talking about report writing. Isla McKetta wrote a Moz blog post about how anybody can write a clear, persuasive report, regardless of if you’re an expert in SEO, PPC, social media or otherwise. You have to be able to convey your intelligence in your writing, not just in the way you speak.
