It’s been announced by DuckDuckGothat they have expanded their search auto-suggestions, (otherwise known as autocomplete) to 34 new international regions. The intent of auto suggest is to help users find the appropriate query as they are typing. Auto complete provides common search queries in real time as they begin typing.
If you’re a DuckDuckGo user, and you’re worried about privacy, (as privacy is the selling point of the search engine) the company has made it clear that auto suggest won’t impact your privacy. The search engine say that they “do not associate queries with personal information (e.g. IP addresses).” In addition, they’ve said that they “don’t store any of it at all so our auto-suggest doesn’t impact your privacy.”
