Duckduckgo-1920-800x450My, how the young grow up fast.  I remember seeing DuckDuckGo first appear in the search engine news when it was still a fledgling search engine, and now it’s grown up so big.  Yesterday, DuckDuckGo announced that a milestone was hit.  The search engine has managed to hit the 10 million daily query mark on June 22, 2015.

Just on June 22nd alone, they saw 10,218,617 queries pass through their search engine.  DuckDuckGo believes that the surge in users is based on the idea that they are a privacy focused search engine.  Gabriel Weinberg wrote, “we’re proud to be helping so many people take back their privacy.”

Check out the chart that they shared that shows the steep incline in daily search queries.

As a promotion, DuckDuckGo said they will give out 10,000 t-shirts to those who can help promote their search engine to three additional searchers.
