It’s about time we dredge up guest blogging again. Who remembers when Matt Cutts said that guest blogging was “done” around this time last year? As we all know by now, that stirred up quite a storm of controversy in the online marketing world.
But as we all can figure out, guest blogging is not dead. But, how could this be? Matt stated it was dead, right? Not really. He simply stated that if you were guest blogging just so you can get links was dead. This was considered a spammy tactic and that we shouldn’t use it simply so you can get a few extra links to your site.
If you are wanting some guest blogs on your site, or you’re interested in guest blogging yourself, that’s all still fine, as long as it’s thoughtful and holds real content value. Because of this fact, this would be a great time to get a refresher course on how to properly evaluate publishers for guest blogging opportunities.
Jayson DeMers has some great ways to help determine which sites you should be targeting for your guest blogging campaign. Check it out now by following the link below.
