On Friday 13, Facebook confirmed that is is testing a program that lets users easily view their points and rewards from brands within the Facebook app. Sephora will start piloting the new program next week in the US.
As you can see in the image above, users can connect their rewards accounts to their Facebook account. Once you’ve linked, (in the case) Sphora can serve personalized offers highlighting the user’s perk status directly in the news feed.
Sephora is one of a handful of businesses that will begin testing the new product via Facebook campaigns early next week.
Currently, there is no set date on when the program will roll out more broadly. Facebook said it’s using this pilot to evaluate the long-term value for brands and advertisers.
