July 17th was known as World Emoji Day, and I’m sure that everybody knows about it.  After all, it is the most popular day, right after Christmas day and Black Friday, right?  The day was created by Jeremy Burge, the founder of Emojipedia.

So what was they reason behind the celebration?  According to the official World Emoji Day site, “is to spread the enjoyment that emojis bring to our lives with all of those around us.”

As part of the celebrations, Blue Hive Italy (on behalf of Ford Italia) created some really creative images made soully out of emojies and put them up on Twitter with the #WorldEmojiDay hashtag.  The images created via emoji was a dog, an old man with a cane, and a kid on a scooter.

The purpose behind these images was a nod to recent “Don’t drink and use your mobile device” campaigns, each visual was accompanied by copy wich read, “Don’t emoji and drive.”
