When you’re dealing with keywords, there’s a little difference between branded keywords and unbranded keywords. The real difference between the two is that branded keywords are way easier to rank for than unbranded terms.
But this doesn’t meant you can’t screw up branded search queries though. It’s not going to be a good idea to send anybody and everybody through your homepage, right? You want to be sure that you send people to the correct page, which would provide them with the information that they were searching for.
