analyticsIt seems that Google has done again.  They’ve changed up the navigation menu in Google Analytics.  Because of this, you’ll likely find it difficult finding what you need, that is, until you have to get used to the new format.

Although it seems no announcement has been made by Google on the matter, a number of people working at Marketing Land have noticed that their Google Analytics accounts have undergone a change.  According to them, when you look under the “Standard Reporting” heading, there are these primary sections:

  • Real-Time
  • Audience
  • Acquisition
  • Behavior
  • Conversions

Apparently, it’s not simply a matter of being renamed.  Reports have been moved, and some new reports have been added.

Based on Marketing Land’s report, the options under “Traffic Sources” used to be Overview, Sources, Search Engine Optimization, Social, Cost Analysis and Advertising. Now, under the new “Acquisition” section, the reports are

  • Overview
  • Channels
  • All Traffic
  • Campaigns
  • Keywords
  • Cost Analysis
  • AdWords
  • Social
  • Search Engine Optimization
