Google Ads Debuts ‘Conversions By Time’ Reporting

Thrive Business Marketing company logo

Google has rolled out new conversion reporting columns meant to capture when a conversion actually occurred.

These columns include:

  • Conversions (by conv. time)
  • Conv. value (by conv. time)
  • Value / Conv. (by conv. time)
  • All conv. (by conv. time)
  • All conv. value (by conv. time)
  • Value / all conv. (by conv. time)

The standard conversion column data reports conversions based on the time of the ad click. If a user clicks on an ad on Monday, but converts several days later, the Conversions column will record the sale for Monday. But, the new Conversions (by conv. time) will record that sale for the day it actually occurred.

If you look over a week’s worth of data in the UI, the Conversions (by conv. time) will reflect the conversion that occurred that week, which will include conversions that came from ad clicks that occurred the previous week.

Any historical conversion time data will go back as far as March 2, 2019.

With conversions by time, users will get another lay of information about how your ads are converting, as well as making it easier to compare your own internal sales data.
