Google Analytics Announces Updated Reports, More API Tools & New Analytics Academy At Annual Summit

Google analytics logo At the Google Analytics Summit this week, there were plenty of announcements made.  Some of the announcements included updated reports, more API tools, new educational initiatives, and the integration of BigQuery into Google Analytics Premium.

Google Analytics says that users will be able to gain access to a number of new features including user segmentation, cohort analysis, sequence segments, and segment templates by the end of the year.  Finally, Google Analytics is also going to be getting a new face life by releasing a “fully refreshed” UI.

A “sneak peek” was given of the new Google Analytics Acquisition reports.  These reports will show insight on “how you can acquire users, their behavior on your site after acquisition, and their conversion patterns.”  “Traffic Sources” will be replaced with this new report on the left hand navigation.

No release date was given.
