A couple weeks ago, Google began providing statistics and error notifications to any webmaster who has used App Indexing via emails from Google Webmaster Tools.
Notifications were sent out to webmasters that were found to have errors in the app indexing submission feeds they were using. According to the emails, they read “Fix app deep links to [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][URL HERE] that don’t match the content of the web pages.” The following screen shot was taken by Sunny K. Ujjawal and shared on Google+:
Not only is Google sending out these indexing error notifications, but Google has started sending data on how well their apps have been performing in the search results as a result of App Linking efforts.
