Google Maps isn’t the only navigation service to have Google Assistant behind it. Soon, Waze for Android will be getting Google Assistant as well. It will be available in English.
Although Waze already had voice commands, Google Assistant will enable users to do a number of other things while driving, such as make calls, play music, as well as initiate Waze commands hands free. Other things that Wazers will be able to do is reporting and requests without having to touch the screen includes:
- Report traffic
- Avoid tolls
- Report police
- Access alternative routing
- And so on
There’s a good chance that the iPhone version of Waze will also be getting the Google Assistant in the near future. Although Siri has the ability ti initiate a trip on Waze, the app itself won’t allow internal commands, as Google Assistant now can.
