Google-logo-feature-1030x686In 2015 , there was quite the mengerie of searches done through Google’s search engine.    There were searches that asked about Lamar Odom, Ronda Rousey’s rising star, the new Snapchat update, the film “Jurassic World,” and a large variety of other topics.

There was even searches about “What is Charlie Charlie?”

More than 40 categories have been released by Google for their year-end lists that range from the top trending searches to the top trending people.  There were even lists that focused on travel questions and “how-to” searches.

A Google spokesperson had this to say, “We define the trending queries as the searches that had the highest spike in traffic over a sustained period in 2015 as compared to 2014.”  According to Google, tracking trends for the year, versus their top searches, is a better way to find the topics and people that grew in popularity compared to the year before.

Below are some lists of Google’s trending topics:

Top Trending Searches

Some of these searches are no surprise at all, including Caitlyn Jenner change in lifestyle, Ronda Rousey’s rise to UFC stardom, Fallout 4’s video game success upon release and Jurassic Park’s movie fame.  With the attacks on Paris, it’s no surprise people wanted to find out as much as they can about it.
