It seems that Google is allowing some business owners to verify their local listings within their local listings within Google My Business through email verification.
A screenshot was posted on Kiran C. Kumar’s Twitter. As you can see from the following image, Google is offering Kiran three methods to verify the business. The first option is through emailing and email address for instant verification. The other two methods are through either phone or postal card.

As you can see in the tweeted image, you can verify the business “by email now.” It lists one of the email addresses, as well as the business’s official website.
This should help Google get more verified businesses in Google Maps/Google My Business.
