As many in the search industry have seen over the last week, but has finally been confirmed by Google, updates to the search engine’s algorithm are significantly shifting rankings in the SERPs. A spokesperson from Google said, “We released several minor improvements during this timeframe, part of our regular and routine efforts to improve relevancy.”
Barry Schwartz of Search Engine Land analyzed his Search Engine Roundtable survey of 100 webmasters and, in conclusion, said that the updates are related to keywords permutations and sites utilizing doorway pages.
