Google Expands Product Rating Stars In Google Shopping Ads To UK, France, Germany

Thrive Business Marketing company logo

Review starsDo you remember back in September when Google introduced product ratings to their Product Listing Ads in the US?  This was the five-star rating system that shows rating and review data for particular products aggregated from merchants, third-party, editorial sites and Google users.  It loos like Google is expanding upon that by rolling out the stars out to ads in other countries outside the US including, the UK, France and Germany this week.

In order to qualify, advertisers are required to share their product reviews with Google directly or through an approved third-party, such as review aggregators PowerReviews, Bazaarvoice, Trustpilot and eKomi.

You can find the complete list of approved partners here.

Seller ratings, which appear on text ads in Google search results, aren’t affected by this program.

And for your information, product ratings are going to appear on products with any number of stars, but seller ratings will only appear with at least 30 reviews with an average of at least 3.5 stars.
