Some significant changes are being tested by Google, where searchers are being given a more diverse set of sources in the featured snippet position.
From The Web
Typically, a normal featured snippet will show both text and a link to a single website. During the From the web test, Google will display small excerpts from two to three different websites, each with its own link. The site’s favicons will also be displayed.

The other variation of Google’s featured snippets is when Google groups three sites under the normal paragraph-style featured snippet. These extra snippets are under the Other sites heading.
