Today, it’s been announced by YouTube that a version of product listing ads are coming to retailers’ video ads with TrueView for Shopping.
The technology and infrastructure of Google Shopping have been booted up on YouTube, and the ads are powered by an integration with Google Merchant Center. So how will the ads be delivered? They’ll appear in cards alongside retailers’ video ads on both mobile and desktop platforms. If a user clicks on the product ads, they’ll be taken directly to the merchants’ websites.
The feature will make an appearance in AdWords in the coming months, and advertisers with a Google rep will be able to run TrueView for Shopping campaigns as soon as today.
