Google Local Pack Displaying Logos In Web Search Results

Google logo 874x288Google is testing a new local pack design, known as the “snack pack”, which is tied in with Google’s local maps results.  This feature is triggered based on local intent queries, and displays logos for some searchers.

Here is a screen shot of the results posted by Justin Aldridge on Twitter:

Google local pack logos

The local pack normally contains only the business name, location, reviews, and a map.  If you notice in the above image, you’ll see the map image in the first result, but the other two results show the company’s logos.

An expanded view of what you see after clicking on the “more yacht charter” link shows more local results.  The following image was posted by Jennifer Skagg.  After looking at the image, you will see that some results contain maps, logos and pictures from their local business listing.
