Google Mobile Search Results Are Now Showing Images In The Snippets

Thrive Business Marketing company logo

Google-logoGoogle has begun displaying image thumbnails in the mobile search results for select queries.  The appear to be product-based queries, suggesting that the user might find an image of the product useful.  Google begun testing this in August of 2016, and even as earlier as December 2014.  And after all this time, it seems that it’s showing fro all mobile searchers.

I was able to replicate this, with queries like [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][door locks], [footballs] and [lamps].  The following screen shots are examples of how they look in mobile results:
