The other day, Google released an updated to their Google My Business app for iOS. The main feature is the ability of business owners to temporarily change their hours of operation for a holiay or special event, directly from the app.
Before, if you wanted to change the hours, you had to use the Google My Business web portal and/or upload a spreadsheet with special hours.
Some of the new features in the iOS app include:
- a drag-and-drop menu to change your primary business category and phone number;
- a quick and easy way to mark whether or not your business is permanently closed; and
- new support for landscape mode in the app.
But it seems that there must have been a bug, as those who tried opening the app would only be met with it freezing on them. Google has pulled the iOS app from the app store until it has gotten fixed.
