Google News Adds 7 More Languages, Including Romanian, Lithuanian & Thai

With 28 languages being supported across 45 different countries, Google News is announcing that they’re going to expand that list of languages even more, as they are rolling out seven new language editions, including:

• Romanian
• Bahasa Indonesia
• Bengali
• Bulgarian
• Latvian
• Lithuanian
• Thai

This effort will connect a potential new audience of over 260 million people to reporting that matters to them, delivered in their mother tongue on the web or our native Android or iOS mobile apps.

The new languages are going to be released over the next few days, where Romanian will be the language we start off with.  Even more languages are being planed for release by Google over the coming months.
