It was announced during today’s London Tech Week event by Eileen Naughton, who is the managing director and VP for sales and operations in Google UK-Ireland that more than half of all UK searches are done via mobile.
The stat was then shared by Dan Cobley, who attended the event via his Google+ profile.
Google reported on its AdWords Blog that there are more searches happening on mobile devices versus desktop in ten separate countries, but didn’t specify where the search numbers were coming from beyond the US and Japan.
In fact, more Google searches take place on mobile devices than on computers in 10 countries including the US and Japan.
