Google is continuing to update reports in Search Console with fresher data. First, they worked on Search data, now the company is working on giving similar treatment to Discover data.
There was announcement where Google points to a post published back in September that detailed the fresher data update for the Search Performance report.
According to Google, this update is “similar to” the update rolled out in September.
If this update is truly similar to the one made in September, we can expect to see Discover data as recent as less than a day old. This took a few days to get the latest data before the update.
This will let site owners do things like check their weekend data on a Monday, check a previous day’s stats first thing in the morning, as well as keep an even closer eye on traffic recoveries after fixing important issues.
According to Google, this fresh data might change before being finalized, which means each fresh data point will be replaced with a final data point after a few days.
Don’t expect any other major updates until at least 2020, as this is to be said to be the last announcement regarding Search Console in 2019.
