Google is testing a new way to level AMP content in the mobile search results.  Rather than using a gray AMP lightening bolt con with the AMP letters by it, a test by Google shows a blue lightening bolt icon with the word “instant” next to it.

This was first spotted by @Jonny_J_, although when I tried to replicate this, I wasn’t able to.

Google typically tests different user interfaces — so this comes as no surprise.
