Is Google testing a new feature which allows advertisers to track goals across groups of campaigns? It appears that they are, as this was spotted by Ariana Wolf from Denver-based digital agency 90octane. In this test, a “Campaign groups” menu option appears in the left navigation from the Campaigns tab. There were some images that Wolf tweeted, which shows the workflow of the new monitoring and reporting tool.
With this option, advertisers will be able to group campaigns into a Campaign Set and assign a performance target for conversions, CPA or spend within a specific date range.
Then, the tool will provide an overview of performance, plus forecasts for goal achievement by the end of the date range.
According to Wolf, there isn’t any tie-in automated bid strategies, although it’s an interesting way to see how campaigns with the same goal are performing against their targets.
