According to Zaheed Sabur of Google, a brand new release this morning of another Google feature was unveiled. By searching Google for a hashtag, you may end up getting Google+posts that use that hastag that is displayed on the right of the normal search results.
At this point, the new feature will only be available for the English language on both Google.com and Google.ca.
To clarify, for those who are nervous about if private Google+ content is going to be shared, don’t worry. Only posts that were shared publicly, or shared with you, will show up on result pages.
