Are you trying to write a headline or title tags that are just right? I’m not going to be surprised if you’re having a little bit of trouble doing it since it’s pretty easy to be conflicted on what you’re trying to say (the more to the point approach) and how you’re trying to say it. Are you trying to get people to e intrigued enough to click your link (clickbait), or are you trying to go the route of satisfying searcher intent?
If it’s at all possible, we want all three. But writing headline and title tags that achieves each point can be very difficult to do. In this episode of Whiteboard Friday, Rand shows how small the intersection of these goals are, and gives us a process we can use to find the best way forward.
