One of the ways that you can increase the popularity of a brand is to be able to bring your readers, users, and fans together into one place that will allow them to communicate with each other. That doesn’t just mean bringing people in to talk with each other on a comment thread. I mean an actual online community where people can congregate and talk and share information. A place where they feel as if they belong, especially because they want to be there.
In a Moz post written by Richard Millington, it’s stated that even with all the new updates and upgrades in technology we have seen in the last half of a decade, we aren’t any better at building a community. Keep in mind, with the current level of tech we have, it can be easier to make a community, we still just can’t make a better one. As Richard said in his post, because of the easy at which we can create a community, it can get quite costly. And if it gets costly enough, it’s enough to possibly get somebody fired.
So what’s the secret to making a better community? It’s creating a sense of community.
Richard will outline in his post why having a strong sense of community is what you need to not just create a community, but make a successful and strong sense of community.
