Last week, the live-streaming studio Streamyard was acquired by the virtual events platform, Hopin. The reported amount that was traded hands is $250 million.

Hopin offers functionality that is suitable for conferences, just like Zoom, but unlike Zoom, can stream directly to platforms including YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and more.

Hopin’s goal is to offer a virtual even venue, all while using all the features that are needed in order to host a virtual conference for large audiences.
