LinkedIn Has Provided Insight Into How Its Feed Algorithm Works In Video Series

LinkedIn

There have been ‘record levels’ or user engagement for LinkedIn recently, but a lot of this engagement is dominated by things like spam, re-posts from different platforms, vague polls and the like. Naturally, the business platform has been busy trying to fix it.

Last month, LinkedIn started an initiative meant to provide more transparency to improve the aforementioned elements, as well as the overall experience you have with the platform.

The first couple of videos released by LinkedIn explained what sort of content the platform means to push in-stream, which can be found here. These videos, hosted by LinkedIn’s VP of Engineering Sabry Tozin, expand on the following questions:

  • “What kind of conversations are welcomed on LinkedIn?”
  • “What does it mean to be professional when it comes to content on LinkedIn?”

Tazin explains the sort of content you post on LinkedIn would have to be a bit different than what you’d post on something like Facebook or Twitter, since LinkedIn is a bit of a different beast.

Check out the videos and make sure you know what sort of things you should be posting!
