Live blogging. Some people have done it. Many of us have experienced reading them. I know I have. I’ve seen many live blogs myself that were done in real-time as a journalist at CES or at E3 was typing things up as they were happening in that moment, while they where sitting in the audience.
But those of us who have experienced these live blogs in action can only imagine what it’s like to be the live blogger. There is a lot of pressure there for the one who is sitting in the audience at a show writing things up as they are shown. That’s pressure. It’s all about thinking fast. Not only do you have to be able to take in what is said, but at the same time, you’ve got to be able to write it all out and get it posted.
Jeff Sauer has had the experience of doing live blogs himself. In fact, he’s done several live blogs before. Now that he’s actually got some experience under his belt, he’s primed and ready to share what he knows about them. Jeff has written a piece on live blogging for Moz, and has shared 10 steps that others can use to get things started for when you decide to do an even where you will be live blogging.
