How Local Businesses Will Be Able To Use Twitter’s New Nearby Feature

Have you heard the new Twitter buzz lately?  In recent weeks, Twitter has launched an experimental Nearby service to their existing 140 character timeline feature.  With this feature, anybody using a mobile phone will be able to locate any tweets that have been posted by local users in their vicinity.

At this time, only a select number of Twitter users are able to use this feature.  This is due to the users opting in to allow their location to be shared on the service.  If you are one of the users who is able to use this function, you’ll find that a Nearby tab appears alongside the Home Tab within Twitter’s mobile apps.
