Barry Schwartz drove to Washington, D.C. in order to interview one of the most well-known people in SEO – Matt Cutts. He had served as the head of web spam at Google and was one of the first employees at the company. Cutts took a leave in 2014 and officially left Google in 2016.
Currently, Matt is the Administrator at the United States Digital Service, which is a startup-like division in the US government that works on making governmental websites better.
The two spoke about Matt’s days at Google, as well as how the search community might be able to help the US government in the USDS and how to apply at work at the USDS at usds.gov/apply.
